Duties included: Designing and manufacturing exhibition stands, displays and signage for companies that include Nestle UK , Yorkshire Water and Jarvis. I was regularly involved with all aspects of production and often took projects from an initial consultation with the client to completion. As a result I have gained a wide knowledge of digital imaging and manufacturing techniques as well as extensive workshop skills in wood, laminates and plastics.

An important part of my of my post was to mentor apprentices and in preparation for this I attended a course in "Training effectively" run by NYTEC.

I designed and implemented a course to train staff in the use of CAD/CAM machinery and produced reference materials to support their development. As part of this project I also integrated the use of CAM techniques into the workflow of the joiners' shop and investigated new approaches to manufacture.

The main software packages I used were:

Photoshop, Illustrator, Coreldraw, Blender3d, Gerber Omega Composer and Rhino 3d. I have plenty of experience of MS Windows products and administering a small network. I can build, troubleshoot, repair and maintain PCs as required.

While at Harrisons I also introduced 3d visualisations of projects; still, animated and interactive walk-rounds using Blender (a freeware 3d suite).

I am aware of current health and safety issues at work, and have undertaken health and safety training in the past year.
